State’s Attorney’s Office Releas­es 2010 Annu­al Report


Union Coun­ty State’s Attor­ney Tyler R. Edmonds announced today the release of the State’s Attorney’s Office 2010 Annu­al Report.  High­lights of the report include:


  • Felony fil­ings, dis­po­si­tions and IDOC sen­tences up sig­nif­i­cant­ly from pre­vi­ous years
  • Obtained judg­ments of over $444,000 against crim­i­nal defen­dants includ­ing near­ly $78,000 in resti­tu­tion to crime victims
  • Office expen­di­tures more than $12,000 under budget
  • Cre­ation of elec­tion mon­i­tor­ing pro­gram to pro­tect vot­ing rights and ensure integri­ty of elec­tion process
  • Imple­men­ta­tion of new domes­tic vio­lence and juve­nile ini­tia­tive to part­ner with vic­tims in end­ing cycle of vio­lence and abuse in the home.
  • Pro­vid­ed ser­vices and assis­tance to near­ly 650 crime victims
