Car­bon­dale Man Sen­tenced to 7 Years in Prison for DUI


Union Coun­ty State’s Attor­ney Tyler R. Edmonds announced today that Isidro Godinez-Her­nan­dez (DOB 01-17-1963) of 7159 South Illi­nois Avenue in Car­bon­dale has been sen­tenced to sev­en (7) years in the Illi­nois Depart­ment of Cor­rec­tions on a charge of Aggra­vat­ed Dri­ving Under the Influ­ence, a Class X Felony.  Godinez-Her­nan­dez was arrest­ed for DUI by Sheriff’s Deputies on Decem­ber 2, 2010 fol­low­ing a traf­fic stop on Hea­cock Street in Jones­boro.  The DUI was ele­vat­ed to a Class X Felony based upon mul­ti­ple pri­or DUI convictions
