Jones­boro Man Sen­tenced to 10 years on Cocaine and Firearm Charges

Union Coun­ty State’s Attor­ney Tyler R. Edmonds announced today that Heath P. Tel­lor (DOB 09/30/1985) of 300 Mary Street in Jones­boro has been sen­tenced to ten (10) years in the Illi­nois Depart­ment of Cor­rec­tions on one (1) count of Unlaw­ful Pos­ses­sion of Con­trolled Sub­stance with Intent to Deliv­er, a Class 1 Felony and one (1) count of Unlaw­ful Pos­ses­sion of Weapon by a Felon, a Class 2 Felony.  Tel­lor was arrest­ed by Union Coun­ty Sheriff’s Deputies in Octo­ber 2012 at a res­i­dence in rur­al Don­go­la.  At the time of his arrest, Tel­lor was in pos­ses­sion of a firearm and a quan­ti­ty of cocaine which was pack­aged for delivery.
