Anna Man Charged with Indecent Solicitation of a Child

Union County State’s Attorney Tyler R. Edmonds announced today that James P. Doublin (DOB 08-02-1965) of 408 Dewey Street in Anna has been charged with one (1) count of Indecent Solicitation of a Child, a Class 3 Felony.  Doublin is alleged to have solicited a minor under the age of 13 to perform an act of sexual conduct on April 16, 2011.  Doublin was arrested this afternoon following an investigation by the Anna Police Department.  He is currently being held on $30,000 bond.

The Union County State’s Attorney’s Office reminds the public that charges are not evidence of guilt.  A defendant is presumed innocent and is entitled to a fair trial in which the government has the burden of proving guilt beyond a reasonable doubt.
