Anna Man Sen­tenced to 25 Years in Prison for Aggra­vat­ed Vehic­u­lar Highjacking


Union Coun­ty State’s Attor­ney Tyler R. Edmonds announced today that Bradley Scott Schlenker (DOB 04-29-1973) of 965 Toll Gate Road in rur­al Anna has been sen­tenced to twen­ty-five (25) years in the Illi­nois Depart­ment of Cor­rec­tions on a charge of Aggra­vat­ed Vehic­u­lar High­jack­ing, a Class X Felony.  Schlenker entered a plea of guilty this morn­ing before Pre­sid­ing Judge Mark Boie at the Union Coun­ty Cour­t­house in Jonesboro.


Schlenker was indict­ed by a Union Coun­ty Grand Jury after he abduct­ed a for­mer girl­friend on the night of Mon­day Octo­ber 25, 2010 and held her for sev­er­al hours.  Schlenker was tak­en into cus­tody by Union Coun­ty Sheriff’s Deputies in the ear­ly morn­ing hours of Octo­ber 26, 2010 fol­low­ing a high speed pur­suit on US High­way 51 near Anna.
