John­son Coun­ty Man Sen­tenced to 10 years
for Metham­phet­a­mine Conspiracy

Union Coun­ty State’s Attor­ney Tyler R. Edmonds announced today that William R. Tay­lor (DOB 10/05/1978) of rur­al John­son Coun­ty, Illi­nois has been sen­tenced to ten (10) years in the Illi­nois Depart­ment of Cor­rec­tions after admit­ting a Peti­tion to Revoke Pro­ba­tion for the orig­i­nal offense of Unlaw­ful Metham­phet­a­mine Con­spir­a­cy, a Class 1 Felony.  Tay­lor was arrest­ed in April 2011 as part of an inves­ti­ga­tion by the Union Coun­ty Sheriff’s Office and John­son Coun­ty Sheriff’s Office which showed Tay­lor had pur­chased metham­phet­a­mine man­u­fac­tur­ing mate­ri­als at an Anna retail­er.  He plead­ed guilty in June 2011 and was placed on pro­ba­tion.  Tay­lor sub­se­quent­ly vio­lat­ed his pro­ba­tion and was resen­tenced on April 21, 2015.
