Anna Man Sen­tenced to 4 Years in Prison on Metham­phet­a­mine Charge

Union Coun­ty State’s Attor­ney Tyler R. Edmonds announced today that Travis Far­ris (DOB 09-16-1987) of 161 Hill­side Ter­race in Anna has been sen­tenced to four (4) years in the Illi­nois Depart­ment of Cor­rec­tions on one count of Unlaw­ful Par­tic­i­pa­tion in Metham­phet­a­mine Pro­duc­tion, a Class 1 Felony.  Under Illi­nois law, Far­ris must serve at least 75 per­cent of the sen­tence.  Far­ris was arrest­ed by Union Coun­ty Sheriff’s Deputies in March 2012 at a res­i­dence on Illi­nois Route 146 in rur­al Jones­boro where he was engaged in the pro­duc­tion of less than 15 grams of methamphetamine.
