Cypress Man Sen­tenced to Prison for Sex Abuse

Union Coun­ty State’s Attor­ney Tyler R. Edmonds announced today that James D. Duty (DOB 12/08/1984) of Cypress, Illi­nois has been sen­tenced to four (4) years in the Illi­nois Depart­ment of Cor­rec­tions to one (1) count of Aggra­vat­ed Crim­i­nal Sex­u­al Abuse, a Class 2 Felony.  Duty com­mit­ted an act of sex­u­al pen­e­tra­tion with a 13 year old minor in April 2013. Duty was arrest­ed in August 2013 as part of an inves­ti­ga­tion by the Illi­nois State Police and the FBI.
