Duties & Responsibilities
The Union County Circuit Clerk maintains all files and official records of the Circuit Court. The Circuit Clerk works at the direction of the Circuit Court, Appellate Court and Supreme Court of Illinois and is mandated to follow and enforce the laws of the State of Illinois. The Circuit Clerk processes all documents in criminal and civil cases, summons jurors, collects fees, fines, restitution and support. The Union County Circuit Clerk also issues summons, writs, subpoenas and other documents mandated by the courts.
