Anna Man Sen­tenced to 6 years for Domes­tic Battery

Union Coun­ty State’s Attor­ney Tyler R. Edmonds announced today that Jessie Bell (DOB 12/2/1979) of Anna has been sen­tenced to six (6) years in the Illi­nois Depart­ment of Cor­rec­tions after plead­ing guilty to one (1) count of Domes­tic Bat­tery, a Class 3 Felony.  Bell was arrest­ed in Feb­ru­ary of 2014 after an inves­ti­ga­tion by the Anna Police Depart­ment.  Bell was sen­tenced to an extend­ed term based on pri­or crim­i­nal his­to­ry and will serve a four (4) year peri­od of Manda­to­ry Super­vised Release (for­mer­ly known as Parole).  The six year sen­tence will run con­sec­u­tive­ly to the twen­ty (20) year sen­tence imposed in August of 2015 for Sec­ond Degree Mur­der, a Class 1 Felony in Union Coun­ty case num­ber 2014-CF-79.
