Anna Man Sen­tenced to 10 Years on Cocaine Charges

Union Coun­ty State’s Attor­ney Tyler R. Edmonds announced today that Richard A. Wil­son (DOB 06-09-1981) of 120 George Street in Anna has been sen­tenced to a total term of ten (10) years in the Illi­nois Depart­ment of Cor­rec­tions on two sep­a­rate cocaine charges.  Wil­son was sen­tenced to six (6) years on one (1) count of Unlaw­ful Pos­ses­sion of a Con­trolled Sub­stance with Intent to Deliv­er, a Class X Felony, and four (4) years on one (1) count of Unlaw­ful Deliv­ery of a Con­trolled Sub­stance, a Class 1 Felony.  The sen­tences will run con­sec­u­tive­ly.  The charges stem from the exe­cu­tion of a search war­rant at Wilson’s res­i­dence in Novem­ber 2010 by the Union Coun­ty Sheriff’s Office and from a sep­a­rate August 2012 inves­ti­ga­tion by the South­ern Illi­nois Enforce­ment Group.
