Mar­i­on Man Sen­tenced to 15 years for Preda­to­ry Crim­i­nal Sex­u­al Assault of a Child

Union Coun­ty State’s Attor­ney Tyler R. Edmonds announced today that Bradley L. Wyant (DOB 4/30/1966) of Mar­i­on, Illi­nois has been sen­tenced to fif­teen (15) years in the Illi­nois Depart­ment of Cor­rec­tions after plead­ing guilty to two (2) counts of Preda­to­ry Crim­i­nal Sex­u­al Assault of a Child, both Class X Felonies.  Wyant must serve eight-five (85%) per­cent of the sen­tence and must reg­is­ter as a sex offend­er for life.  Wyant sex­u­al­ly assault­ed a child under the age of 13 years dur­ing 2014 while resid­ing with the child at a rur­al Anna res­i­dence.  Wyant was arrest­ed in Octo­ber of 2014 fol­low­ing an inves­ti­ga­tion by the Union Coun­ty Sher­iff Office.
