Three Anna Residents Charged with Methamphetamine Production

Union County State’s Attorney Tyler R. Edmonds announced today that Freddy Morse, Jr. (DOB 10/01/1973) of Anna, Illinois, and Danny J. Cook (DOB 01/29/1964) of Anna, Illinois, have been charged with one (1) count of Unlawful Participation in Methamphetamine Production, a Class X Felony.  The two are alleged to have engaged in the manufacture of more than 15 grams of methamphetamine in Anna, Illinois.  Tabitha L. Barlow (DOB 01/24/1990) of Anna, Illinois, has been charged with one (1) count of Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine, a Class 3 Felony.  Barlow is alleged to have been in possession of methamphetamine.  All three were arrested on July 9, 2013 at an Anna residence by Union County Sheriff Deputies and are being held at the Jackson County Jail in Murphysboro, Illinois.

The Union County State’s Attorney’s Office reminds the public that charges are not evidence of guilt.  A defendant is presumed innocent and is entitled to a fair trial in which the government has the burden of proving guilt beyond a reasonable doubt.
