Two Anna Women Sen­tenced to the Illi­nois Depart­ment of Corrections

Union Coun­ty State’s Attor­ney Tyler R. Edmonds announced today that the fol­low­ing indi­vid­u­als have been sen­tenced to the Illi­nois Depart­ment of Corrections:

Jan­ice A. Dover (DOB 08/04/1976) of Anna, Illi­nois has been sen­tenced to two (2) years in the Illi­nois Depart­ment of Cor­rec­tions on one (1) count of Retail Theft, a Class 4 Felony.  Dover took pos­ses­sion of cer­tain mer­chan­dise offered for sale at the Anna Wal-Mart with­out pay­ing for such items.  Dover was arrest­ed by Anna Police Offi­cers on June 29, 2013.

Julie M. Puffer (DOB 06/21/1964) of Anna, Illi­nois has been sen­tenced to three (3) years in the Illi­nois Depart­ment of Cor­rec­tions on one (1) count of Dri­ving a Vehi­cle While Under the Influ­ence of Drugs, a Class 2 Felony, and three (3) years in the Illi­nois Depart­ment of Cor­rec­tions on one (1) count of Retail Theft, a Class 4 Felony.  Puffer was dri­ving a vehi­cle while under the influ­ence of drugs.  Puffer was arrest­ed by an Illi­nois State Police Troop­er on Feb­ru­ary 12, 2013 for the dri­ving under the influ­ence offense on Vien­na Street in Anna, Illi­nois.  Puffer took pos­ses­sion of cer­tain mer­chan­dise offered for sale at the Anna Wal-mart with­out pay­ing for such items.  Puffer was arrest­ed by Anna Police Offi­cers on March 5, 2013 for the retail theft offense.  Both sen­tences will run concurrently.
