Ten­nessee Man Sen­tenced to 4 Years in Prison for Threat­en­ing DCFS Employee

 

Union Coun­ty State’s Attor­ney Tyler R. Edmonds announced today that Bran­don McCaslin (DOB 09-26-1981) of 1829 William Cody in Dyers­burg, Ten­nessee, and for­mer­ly of 1196 Water Works Road in Alto Pass, has been sen­tenced to four (4) years in the Illi­nois Depart­ment of Cor­rec­tions on a charge of Intim­i­da­tion, a Class 3 Felony.  McCaslin phoned the Depart­ment of Chil­dren and Fam­i­ly Ser­vices (DCFS) in Jan­u­ary of 2012 and con­veyed threats to a DCFS employ­ee regard­ing a pend­ing case with the agency.  McCaslin was arrest­ed fol­low­ing an inves­ti­ga­tion by the Anna Police Depart­ment and Union Coun­ty Sheriff’s Office.
