Jef­fer­son Coun­ty Man Sen­tenced to 10 years for Armed Rob­bery of Jones­boro Nurs­ing Home

Union Coun­ty State’s Attor­ney Tyler R. Edmonds announced today that Adam J. Trax (DOB 1012/14/1982) for­mer­ly of 20620 Lucky Lane, Blu­ford, Illi­nois has been sen­tenced to ten (10) years in the Illi­nois Depart­ment of Cor­rec­tions after plead­ing guilty to one (1) count of Armed Rob­bery, a Class X Felony.  Inves­ti­ga­tion by the Union Coun­ty Sheriff’s Office showed that in the ear­ly morn­ing hours of June 10, 2013, Trax, while armed with a knife, entered the front door of the Jones­boro Reha­bil­i­ta­tion Cen­ter & Health­care Cen­ter, locat­ed at 995 State Route 127 South out­side Jones­boro, and instruct­ed employ­ees to open locked con­tain­ers of pre­scrip­tion nar­cotics.  Trax left the facil­i­ty with near­ly $900 worth of narcotics.

Trax was indict­ed by a Union Coun­ty Grand Jury in Sep­tem­ber of 2013 and extra­dit­ed from Penn­syl­va­nia in May of 2015 by the Union Coun­ty Sheriff’s Office.
