Sex Offend­er Com­pli­ance Check Con­duct­ed in May

Union Coun­ty State’s Attor­ney Tyler R. Edmonds and Union Coun­ty Sher­iff David Livesay announced today that the Illi­nois State Police, Union Coun­ty Sheriff’s Office, U.S. Marshall’s Ser­vice, Illi­nois Depart­ment of Cor­rec­tions and Union Coun­ty State’s Attorney’s Office part­nered to con­duct a sex offend­er com­pli­ance check on May 28.  Forty-three (43) sex offend­ers were found to be in com­pli­ance and three (3) were found to have moved out of Union Coun­ty with­out prop­er­ly noti­fy­ing author­i­ties.  Infor­ma­tion regard­ing those three (3) indi­vid­u­als was for­ward­ed to the Illi­nois State Police Sex Offend­er Unit for fur­ther inves­ti­ga­tion.  One (1) oth­er indi­vid­ual was arrest­ed on an unre­lat­ed war­rant dur­ing the com­pli­ance check.

Edmonds and Sher­iff Livesay voiced appre­ci­a­tion to all agen­cies par­tic­i­pat­ing in the com­pli­ance check.  The State’s Attor­ney and Sher­iff also remind the pub­lic that sex offend­er reg­is­tra­tion infor­ma­tion is avail­able online at  Links to this data­base and oth­er infor­ma­tion are also avail­able at the Union Coun­ty State’s Attorney’s Office web­site:
