Eleven Sen­tenced to Depart­ment of Corrections

Union Coun­ty State’s Attor­ney Tyler R. Edmonds announced the fol­low­ing sen­tences to the Illi­nois Depart­ment of Corrections:

James E. Hotchkiss (DOB 12/10/1966) of Craig Head City, Arkansas has been sen­tenced to six (6) years in the Illi­nois Depart­ment of Cor­rec­tions after plead­ing guilty to one (1) count of Aggra­vat­ed Dri­ving a Vehi­cle While Under the Influ­ence of Drugs, a Class X Felony.  Hotchkiss was arrest­ed in June 2012 fol­low­ing a traf­fic stop on US Route 51 North by Union Coun­ty Sheriff’s Deputies.

Amy M. How­ell (DOB 12/2/1974) of Anna has been sen­tenced to two (2) years in the Illi­nois Depart­ment of Cor­rec­tions after admit­ting a Peti­tion to Revoke Pro­ba­tion for the orig­i­nal offense of Unlaw­ful Pos­ses­sion of Con­trolled Sub­stance, a Class 4 Felony.  How­ell was arrest­ed in Sep­tem­ber 2014 by Union Coun­ty Sher­iff Deputies.

Robert A. Car­ma­ck (DOB 1/17/1979) of Anna has been sen­tenced to three (3) years in the Illi­nois Depart­ment of Cor­rec­tions after plead­ing guilty to one (1) count of Aggra­vat­ed Dri­ving a Vehi­cle While Under the Influ­ence of Drugs, a Class 4 Felony.  Car­ma­ck was arrest­ed in Jan­u­ary 2014 fol­low­ing a traf­fic stop on East High Street and Main Street in Anna by Union Coun­ty Sher­iff Deputies.

James D. Stew­art (DOB 12/17/1964) of Chica­go has been sen­tenced to one (1) year in the Illi­nois Depart­ment of Cor­rec­tions after plead­ing guilty to one (1) count of Unlaw­ful Trans­porta­tion of Unstamped Cig­a­rettes, a Class 4 Felony.  Stew­art was arrest­ed July 2014 as part of an inves­ti­ga­tion by the Attor­ney General’s Office.

Chester W. Morse (DOB 4/6/1977) of Anna has been sen­tenced to two (2) years in the Illi­nois Depart­ment of Cor­rec­tions after admit­ting a Peti­tion to Revoke Pro­ba­tion for the orig­i­nal offense of Domes­tic Bat­tery, a Class 4 Felony.  Morse was arrest­ed in Octo­ber 2013 by Anna Police Officers.

Roger W. Pol­lard (DOB 6/9/1986) of Tay­lor Springs, Illi­nois has been sen­tenced to two (2) years in the Illi­nois Depart­ment of Cor­rec­tions after plead­ing guilty to one (1) count of Aggra­vat­ed Bat­tery, a Class 3 Felony.  Pol­lard was arrest­ed in Novem­ber 2014 fol­low­ing an inves­ti­ga­tion by the Anna Police Department.

Lar­ry L. Turn­er, Jr. (DOB 3/5/1987) of Anna has been sen­tenced to three (3) years in the Illi­nois Depart­ment of Cor­rec­tions after admit­ting a Peti­tion to Revoke Pro­ba­tion for the orig­i­nal offense of Unlaw­ful Pos­ses­sion of Metham­phet­a­mine Man­u­fac­tur­ing Mate­ri­als, a Class 2 Felony.  Turn­er, Jr. was arrest­ed in July 2013 by Anna Police Officers.

Aaron M. Pul­liam (DOB 3/16/1994) of Tamms has been sen­tenced to four (4) years in the Illi­nois Depart­ment of Cor­rec­tions after plead­ing guilty to one (1) count of Iden­ti­ty Theft, a Class 3 Felony.  Pul­liam was arrest­ed in July 2014 fol­low­ing an inves­ti­ga­tion by Jones­boro Police Department.

Dustin R. Haynes (DOB 10/22/1995) of Wolf Lake has been sen­tenced to fifty-four (54) months in the Illi­nois Depart­ment of Cor­rec­tions after plead­ing guilty to one (1) count of Bur­glary, a Class 2 Felony.  Haynes was arrest­ed in Octo­ber 2014 fol­low­ing an inves­ti­ga­tion by the Anna Police Department.

Jes­si­ca R. Phillippe (DOB 7/25/1981) of Anna has been sen­tenced to three (3) years in the Illi­nois Depart­ment of Cor­rec­tions after admit­ting a Peti­tion to Revoke Pro­ba­tion for the orig­i­nal offense of Obstruct­ing Jus­tice, a Class 4 Felony.  Phillippe was arrest­ed in Jan­u­ary 2013 by Anna Police Officers.

Jonathan E. Merdith (DOB 10/31/1987) of Cob­den has been sen­tenced to three (3) years in the Illi­nois Depart­ment of Cor­rec­tions after plead­ing guilty to one (1) count of Aggra­vat­ed Flee­ing or Attempt­ing to Elude a Peace Offi­cer, a Class 4 Felony.  Merdith was arrest­ed in March 2014 fol­low­ing an inves­ti­ga­tion by the Union Coun­ty Sheriff’s Office.
