Grand Jury Indicts Jonesboro Man on Armed Robbery Charges
Union County State’s Attorney Tyler R. Edmonds announced today the Union County Grand Jury has returned indictments against Heath P. Tellor (DOB 09/30/1985) of 300 Mary Street in Jonesboro. Tellor is charged with one (1) count of Armed Robbery, a Class X Felony, one (1) count of Armed Violence, a Class X Felony, and one (1) count of Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance with Intent to Deliver, a Class 1 Felony. Tellor is alleged to have taken property from a Dongola family at gun point. Subsequently, Tellor was arrested by the Union County Sheriff’s Office where he is alleged to have been in possession of cocaine.
The Union County State’s Attorney’s Office reminds the public that charges are not evidence of guilt. A defendant is presumed innocent and is entitled to a fair trial in which the government has the burden of proving guilt beyond a reasonable doubt.
