Wash­ing­ton Man Appre­hend­ed by Law Enforcement


Union Coun­ty State’s Attor­ney Daniel Klinge­mann and Union Coun­ty Sher­iff Scott Harvel announced today that Dmitriy Seregeye­vic Seleznev was appre­hend­ed with­out inci­dent on Octo­ber 7, 2020 at approx­i­mate­ly 1:30 p.m. by Van­cou­ver Police Offi­cers and Agents with the Fed­er­al Bureau of Inves­ti­ga­tions at a busi­ness in Van­cou­ver, Wash­ing­ton.  Seleznev has been charged with one (1) count of Child Pornog­ra­phy, a Class X Felony, four (4) counts of Child Pornog­ra­phy, all Class 1 Felonies, two (2) counts of Inde­cent Solic­i­ta­tion of a Child, both Class 2 Felonies, two (2) counts of Trav­el­ing to Meet a Minor, both Class 3 Felonies, and two (2) counts of Groom­ing, both Class 4 Felonies. Bail is set at five hun­dred thou­sand dol­lars ($500,000.00) bond.


Seleznev has refused extra­di­tion to Union Coun­ty, Illi­nois and is being held at the Clark Coun­ty Jail in Van­cou­ver, Wash­ing­ton.  The process of obtain­ing a Governor’s War­rant for the extra­di­tion of Seleznev has commenced.
