Washington Man Apprehended by Law Enforcement
Union County State’s Attorney Daniel Klingemann and Union County Sheriff Scott Harvel announced today that Dmitriy Seregeyevic Seleznev was apprehended without incident on October 7, 2020 at approximately 1:30 p.m. by Vancouver Police Officers and Agents with the Federal Bureau of Investigations at a business in Vancouver, Washington. Seleznev has been charged with one (1) count of Child Pornography, a Class X Felony, four (4) counts of Child Pornography, all Class 1 Felonies, two (2) counts of Indecent Solicitation of a Child, both Class 2 Felonies, two (2) counts of Traveling to Meet a Minor, both Class 3 Felonies, and two (2) counts of Grooming, both Class 4 Felonies. Bail is set at five hundred thousand dollars ($500,000.00) bond.
Seleznev has refused extradition to Union County, Illinois and is being held at the Clark County Jail in Vancouver, Washington. The process of obtaining a Governor’s Warrant for the extradition of Seleznev has commenced.
