21-2-1 Liquor Control Commissioner

The Chairman of the County Board shall be the Liquor Control Commissioner in the territory of the County outside the corporate limits of any city, village or incorporated town and is charged with the administration of the appropriate provisions of the Act and this Chapter and any other state laws or county ordinances pertaining to the sale of alcoholic liquor.  The other members of the County Board shall be Deputy Liquor Control Commissioners and shall assist the Liquor Control Commissioner in the exercise of the powers and performance of the duties herein provided.  The Liquor Control Commissioner may other appoint persons to assist in the exercise of the powers and performance of the duties herein provided, including but not limited to the County Clerk, the Sheriff and the State’s Attorney.
