The dis­patch of the Union Coun­ty Res­cue Squad will be done by the Union Coun­ty Sheriff’s Office in Jones­boro, Illi­nois. ONLY!

After the need for any type of pri­ma­ry Res­cue Ser­vice is deter­mined, autho­rized per­son­nel on the scene will con­tact the Union Coun­ty Sheriff’s Office and request assis­tance from the Union Coun­ty Res­cue Squad; estab­lished and main­tained by the Union Coun­ty Emer­gency Ser­vices and Dis­as­ter Agency.

Autho­rized per­son­nel shall con­sist of any police, ambu­lance, and fire per­son­nel cur­rent­ly on the scene.

After the Union Coun­ty Res­cue Squad is en route, they are to con­tact the Union Coun­ty Sheriff’s Office, who in turn will retone the Res­cue Call.  This will inform all Res­cue per­son­nel that the equip­ment van is on the way to the acci­dent scene, or area of dis­as­ter that is request­ing assis­tance.  All oth­er Union Coun­ty Res­cue Squad mem­bers will report to the scene.

Only des­ig­nat­ed per­son­nel appoint­ed by the Union Coun­ty ESDA Coor­di­na­tor will be able to request addi­tion­al Res­cue ser­vices for Mutu­al Aid from any oth­er agency.  These appointees will be respon­si­ble for this deci­sion, and will be respon­si­ble for report­ing all find­ings to the Union Coun­ty ESDA Coor­di­na­tor in person.
