In addi­tions to the side­walk require­ments, devel­op­ers are encour­aged to include oth­er meth­ods of pedes­tri­an move­ment such as bike paths and nature trails in con­junc­tion with or par­tial­ly in sub­sti­tu­tion for side­walks, in accor­dance with the Depart­ment of Nat­ur­al Resources spec­i­fi­ca­tion.
