Code of Ordinances

The Com­mis­sion shall main­tain its office at the Coun­ty Build­ing in Jones­boro, Illi­nois, where its files and records shall be kept.  The Mer­it Com­mis­sion is autho­rized to employ such tech­ni­cal, sec­re­tar­i­al and cler­i­cal assis­tants as may be nec­es­sary to trans­act its busi­ness and to fix their com­pen­sa­tion and reim­burse­ment for expens­es incurred, sub­ject to approval of the Coun­ty Board of Com­mis­sion­ers.  (Ord.
