Anna Man Apprehended by Local Law Enforcement
Union County State’s Attorney Tyler R. Edmonds announced today that Coy B. Thomas was apprehended without incident on September 26, 2014 at approximately 9:15 p.m. by Jonesboro Police Officers, and Union County Sheriff Deputies at a business located in Marion, Illinois. The Union County State’s Attorney’s Office, Illinois Conservation Police, and Marion Police also assisted in the search for Thomas. Thomas was sought on warrants in two cases. Thomas is charged in one case with two (2) counts of Domestic Battery, both Class 4 Felonies and one (1) count of Harassment by Telephone, a Class B Misdemeanor. Bail is set at twenty thousand dollars ($20,000.00). Thomas is charged in a second case with one (1) count of Aggravated Domestic Battery, a Class 2 Felony, nine (9) counts of Aggravated Battery, all Class 3 Felonies, nine (9) counts of Domestic Battery, all Class 4 Felonies, one (1) count of Unlawful Restraint, a Class 4 Felony, and three (3) counts of Interference with the Reporting of Domestic Violence, all Class A Misdemeanors. Bail is set at one hundred thousand dollars ($100,000.00). Thomas is being held at the Jackson County Jail in Murphysboro, Illinois. Thomas is set to appear before a Judge on Tuesday, September 30, 2014 at 9:00 a.m. for a First Appearance.
