Anna Man Appre­hend­ed by Local Law Enforcement

Union Coun­ty State’s Attor­ney Tyler R. Edmonds announced today that Coy B. Thomas was appre­hend­ed with­out inci­dent on Sep­tem­ber 26, 2014 at approx­i­mate­ly 9:15 p.m. by Jones­boro Police Offi­cers, and Union Coun­ty Sher­iff Deputies at a busi­ness locat­ed in Mar­i­on, Illi­nois.  The Union Coun­ty State’s Attorney’s Office, Illi­nois Con­ser­va­tion Police, and Mar­i­on Police also assist­ed in the search for Thomas.  Thomas was sought on war­rants in two cas­es.  Thomas is charged in one case with two (2) counts of Domes­tic Bat­tery, both Class 4 Felonies and one (1) count of Harass­ment by Tele­phone, a Class B Mis­de­meanor.  Bail is set at twen­ty thou­sand dol­lars ($20,000.00).  Thomas is charged in a sec­ond case with one (1) count of Aggra­vat­ed Domes­tic Bat­tery, a Class 2 Felony, nine (9) counts of Aggra­vat­ed Bat­tery, all Class 3 Felonies, nine (9) counts of Domes­tic Bat­tery, all Class 4 Felonies, one (1) count of Unlaw­ful Restraint, a Class 4 Felony, and three (3) counts of Inter­fer­ence with the Report­ing of Domes­tic Vio­lence, all Class A Mis­de­meanors.  Bail is set at one hun­dred thou­sand dol­lars ($100,000.00).  Thomas is being held at the Jack­son Coun­ty Jail in Mur­phys­boro, Illi­nois.  Thomas is set to appear before a Judge on Tues­day, Sep­tem­ber 30, 2014 at 9:00 a.m. for a First Appearance.
